Synopsis

Luc O’Donell is a  bad boy with a need for a reputation rehab.  Enter Oliver

I never thought my first kiss would be on my wedding day.

But here I stand, clutching a bouquet of pale pink roses behind the doors of a Las Vegas chapel, and at the end of the aisle is the absolute last man I imagined would be waiting for me.

Thomas Bane.

Bestselling author. Notorious bad boy. Savagely handsome, dark as sin, chiseled as stone. And somehow, my soon-to-be husband.

Marry him, and I’ll land my dream job. Save him, and I’ll walk away with everything I’ve ever wanted. All I have to do is remember it’s all for show. None of it is real, no matter how real it feels.

But first, I have to survive the kiss.

And with lips like his, I don’t stand a chance

Review

Another fake dating rom-com, oh yes.  One that I very much enjoyed.  Tommy and Amelia were just so cute.  Work In Progress was great!

I really liked that these characters were both just good people.  Sure Tommy’s protective instincts and not great choices get him in trouble, but he is a really good guy.  Amelia is painfully shy and while I am nowhere near as shy as Amelia, I could understand her.  I liked the way she looked and the world and though she could be naive it made sense for the character.   I love a sassy female lead, an adorable wallflower is great too.

This book is told from a dual POV and I really think that it was ver necessary.  You needed to know how both characters were feeling to get the full picture.  This is especially true when the conflict comes in because if I didn’t have the dual narration I would have been very upset.

This was my first audiobook narrated by Teddy Hamilton, and I am a fan!  Emily Woo Zeller is as usual amazing.  I really enjoyed both narrators and highly recommend the audiobook.
