Review
The Lies We Tell is a bully romance set in college, but the twist is the bully is her Stepbrother.
Aside from beings bully romance, there is also a misery element. There is some sort of conspiracy going on, and I am here for it. Though this book isn’t tied up, I thought there was enough to engage the reader and keep you interested in that part of the story.
I have to admit that Caiden annoyed me. He was so hot and cold I just wanted to yell at him! Even though we got his perspective, I still found him annoying, not because he bullied Winter. However, he was a real dick because he kept trying to push her away for no good reason.
Of the four, Caiden was probably my least favorite. He was way too broody alpha for me. However, I did like Winter, and she certainly made me care about the mystery of finding her father’s killer. I am excited to read the rest of the series for the mystery and see the rest of the guys’ stories…
