Synopsis

I was never supposed to see him again. Him being the man wearing the perfectly tailored suit who oozed an intoxicating mixture of wealth, rebellion, and sex appeal.

One night.
No strings.
No names.
Great sex.

Still riding the high from last night, I walk in to meet my new client, and he’s wearing that same dangerous smirk that reeled me in hours ago.

Yes, I’m consulting for Callahan Sharpe. And yes, he’s that Callahan Sharpe.

Billionaire heir apparent who abides by no rules, bucks convention, and is determined to complete one final project to honor his late father’s legacy before walking away from the family business for good. Luckily and unluckily for me, I’ve been tasked to go to the Virgin Islands to help accomplish his goal. Callahan has no problem breaking his company’s no fraternization rule, but not me. There’s too much at stake.

What could possibly go wrong when you’re forced to work—and live—side by side with a man you can’t resist?

Review

The Last Resort was a fun romance that had me rooting for the two main characters.

This book starts with a no-names exchanged one-night stand, so when we are presented with triplets, and neither Sutton nor we know which of the Sharpe brothers was her mysterious one-night stand. It becomes apparent pretty quickly, but not too soon. I loved not knowing. At first, it was fun to try to guess who it was. Clearly, I went in blind for this one.

We soon find out, and I was happy to learn it was Callahan and that he and Sutton are being sent to an island together to work. These two had such great chemistry, and I loved all the scenes they shared. They both had baggage, and I liked that they didn’t just jump back into it while there was a clear attraction.

Stella Hunter is always excellent, and I loved her performance in The Last resort. I haven’t listened to many books by Aaron Shedlock, but I plan to. I loved his performance as Callahan. He was great as the cocky hero.

I really enjoyed this book and will undoubtedly be reading the best book in the series.
