Synopsis
Tiffy Moore needs a cheap flat, and fast. Leon Twomey works nights and needs cash. Their friends think they’re crazy, but it’s the perfect solution: Leon occupies the one-bed flat while Tiffy’s at work in the day, and she has the run of the place the rest of the time.
But with obsessive ex-boyfriends, demanding clients at work, wrongly imprisoned brothers and, of course, the fact that they still haven’t met yet, they’re about to discover that if you want the perfect home you need to throw the rulebook out the window…

Review
The Flat Share may have been a case of the overhypes for me. I liked it, but I didn’t love it like I think a lot of people did.
I enjoyed the characters and I thought the way they got to know each other was cute. And, I liked that they sort of knew each other even before officially meeting. But my main problem with this book was that I saw them more as friends than in love. I didn’t really feel like they had that spark. The side characters were fun and sometimes added more to the story than Leon and Tiffy did.
I liked the fact that this book also dealt with issues like emotional abuse and even an exploration of the unfairness of the justice system. Both of these things were handled in a way that was informative without being overbearing about it. I just wish that maybe there had been a little more romance in this one.
