Short synopsis: Its just basically the little mermaid.
Initial Thoughts: I was so indifferent to this book, I didn’t care about anyone in the entire story or the story for that matter.
Characters: 1 – Yeah, like I said I didn’t care.
Plot: 2 – This was a very slow book, I kept waiting and waiting for something to happen and of course it does in a rush in the last 50 or so pages.
Writing: 2 – The writing itself was not bad, but if you are going to have dual perspectives maybe have the characters be different enough that I didn’t have to keep flipping back to see whose POV I was reading.
Originality: 2 – Look I like a good re-telling but literally the characters even looked like Ariel and Eric.
Predictability: 2 – Have you seen the Little Mermaid…
Romance: 1 – I did not get this at all. When exactly did they fall in love, oh yeah I didn’t care!
World Building: 3 – Though this was decent, I still didn’t really get a sense of what these kingdoms looked like.
Overall: 2
Just go watch the Little Mermaid.
