When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife.
You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement – a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love.
You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle.
Assume nothing.
Twisted and deliciously chilling, Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen’s The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage – and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love. (Goodreads)
Oh this was so twisty!
I love a good thriller and this was a great one! There were so many twists and turns and while I did figure some of them out there were many that left me stunned!
I feel like in general, I can’t talk about this book without giving too much away, but I will say that the characters were very enjoyable, and though the way the story was told switching back and forth was a little difficult at first, it was written in a way that it was easy to tell from whose perspective it was being told. The plot moved along at a nice pace, and I never once felt bored or like I wanted to rush on as I do with some thrillers. The revelations were worked through the story in all the right places, to keep you engaged.
As with most thrillers, there were some parts that were a little difficult to read, and I will say I do have some lingering questions, but I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it.
