Review
I have to be honest, I didn’t really know what I was getting into with Prisoner. I liked it, but this is not a light read by any stretch of the imagination. Prisoner is a hard read and both Abigail and Grayson both have a lot of demons. I’ll be honest their relationship is not the healthiest. I mean Abigail is held hostage so how healthy could it be? But I still liked it. Maybe that makes me weird, but Abigail and Grayson’s relationship was my favorite part of the book.
I really enjoyed that these two clearly damaged people could find each other and have a relationship. They have a strange kind of trust. I enjoyed that Grayson made Abigail realize who she really was and that Abigail truly made Grayson a better person.
This book has a decent amount of steam, but it isn’t crazy smutty. I also recommend the audio version if you have the opportunity to listen to that. All in all, I enjoyed this book and will likely read the next book in this series.
