Synopsis
Talia Eden loved Foster Madden for one year, two months and eleven days. It was on day 438 that her love died. The day he chose to marry her best friend. The day she vowed never to think of Foster again.
Until years later when he has the audacity to show up in her small hometown of Quincy, begging for her help.
The ink on his divorce papers is barely dry, yet he comes armed with apologies and promises. She knows it’s all a ploy. Foster is the king of games and secrets. But he’s got delusions the size of Montana if he thinks she’ll help him train for a world championship fight.
Except Talia has forgotten exactly what made Foster famous. The man has dedicated his life to victory. He’s steadfast. He’s determined. And he won’t stop fighting until he’s won her heart.

Review
Garnet Flats is book three in The Edens series, and I have to say I loved this second-chance romance.
Juniper Hill leads right into this book, leaving me wondering who Foster Madden was. Well, wasn’t I pleasantly surprised by this character? A single dad with a big secret sweeping into town to win Talia back! Let me tell you. Foster won me over pretty quickly. I get it, Talia, I get it!
I loved Talia and her struggle against her feelings for Foster. She had her heart broken by him and was wary for good reason. The secrets took longer than I would have liked to come out, and when they did, I was a little annoyed with Foster, but I enjoyed this journey.
I loved this book’s romance and suspense angles, but I also enjoyed seeing Talia struggle to earn the respect she deserved at the hospital. I could imagine that this is an all too real situation for someone growing up and then working in a small town, especially for a female doctor; this part of the storyline just added some great dimension, and of course, I swooned when Foster made sure to call her Dr. Eden.
Cindy Kay did a great job narrating Talia’s POV chapters. I loved her voice and the way she performed the character. Conor Crais is a new top-tier narrator for me. He was fantastic as Foster, and I will be listening to many more books read by him!
