Enemies to Lovers

I am starting a new series called you guessed it, Trope Tuesday.  The Second Tuesday of the month I will give you some great book recommendations based on some popular troped in fiction.

For the first Trope Tuesday, we are starting with wy all-time favorite trope in fiction is Enemies to Lovers, also known as Hate to Love.  While I’m not exactly sure why I suspect it has something to do with strong female characters, sexual tension, and all of the wonderful banter.  So I wanted the share a few of my favorites.

The Hating Game

The Hating Game is one of my favorite books of all time.  I have read/listened to it three times in the last six months.  You can see my full review here.  This book has some of the best banter around and the story is very cute.  I have made several people I know read it as well because well, everyone should read this book! P.S. yes the cover is terrible, but don’t let that stop you.

A Court of Thornes and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury

 While generally, this trope is present in romance, A Court of Thrones and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury are actually fantasy, I won’t say YA because well there are some very adult things that happen in ACOMAF, but I believe it is marketed as YA.  You can read my full review of ACOTAR here and ACOMAF here.  But these both have some solid banter and a ton of female badassery.  Throw in one of my favorite fictional males ever and well you have the makings of a great read.

The Kiss Thief

 I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did.  I had seen  The Kiss Thief on Kindle Unlimited and gave it a try on a whim and am I glad that I did!  You can see my full review here, but suffice it to say I enjoyed this one.  This is also a good one if you are into mafia romance, and new sub-genre I recently discovered that I love!

Carry On

 Did you ever secretly wish that Harry and Draco would just kiss already?  If so, then Carry On is for you.  It’s basically Harry Potter Fan Fiction, but I loved it!  You can see my full review here.  There is also a sequel coming out this year that I cannot wait for.  Baz is one of my favorite characters and the sarcasm in this book, make my cold black heart so happy!
