Review
All the Stars and Teeth was a wonderful fantasy novel. It reminded me a little of the Grisha Trilogy, but with characters I actually liked. I loved the magic system in this story. The world-building was clearly laid out and very cleverly part of the plot.
As for the characters, I must admit I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with Amora. On the one hand, I respect her and understand why she does the things she does. And on the other, she drives me crazy with the way she treats people and the decision she makes. Bastian was another great complex character, and though he is fun, I would have liked a bit more charm and wit from him. However, my favorite characters were by far the two side characters Ferrick and Vataea. Perhaps you aren’t supposed to like Ferrick as much as I did, but I loved his honesty and pure heart.
This was a fun read that I think all YA fantasy lovers will enjoy. There is a lot going on in this book, and it gets better and better as you read. I can’t wait for the next book to come out.
