What was real and what wasn’t?
So I really enjoy this series, but what irritates me about any Sherlock type series is that at the end everything I read comes into question! That is exactly what happened in this book. We don’t know what Charlotte (Sherlock) knows, so we read the whole book reading under one impression, and it turns out it’s completely wrong!
Other than that complaint this series is really one detective series. I absolutely adore the characters, Charlotte, Mrs. Watson, and Lord Ingram are all so wonderful. Ms. Thomas knows how to write an interesting character. She also knows how to write romance and while romance is not the main point of this series the small bits that are fit in are wonderful!
Another great read in this historical mystery series.
