How I made my 2022 Digital Reading Planner (Part 2)

Last week I talked about making the overall planner. I linked some youtube videos that I found helpful and gave some tips, especially if you are creating your first planner. Today I’m going to tell you how I made the actual inside pages of my planner. For the inside pages, I use Canva.

Previously, I used a paper planner, I liked it, but I find using a digital planner is much easier. Especially when adding things like book covers. Many of the inside pages were designs I created for my paper planner, so it was easy to convert them to my digital planner.

Obviously, each of us has our own taste, but these are the pages I’ve included in my 2022 planner:

  • TBR Lists
  • Reading Trackers
  • Series Tracker
  • Reading Challenges
  • New Release List
  • Books I Own List
  • Wish List

I also use this for bookstagram and blog planning, so I have an idea list. I have also used Canva to make stickers for my planner.

Tips:

I recommend not putting these pages into the planner until it is in the final format. That way, if you want to make a change, you can. For example, perhaps you want to add something to your reading tracker. Adding the page when your planner is in, say GoodNotes if that is what you’re using, means that you can add a new page with the and use your new tacker.

I find that adding boxes as guides for the book covers is very helpful. Perhaps I am just not skilled in GoodNotes, but having a size guide is very helpful in making the pages uniform. Below is a photo of my wishlist page:

When using Canva, download them with transparent background when you download the pages. They are much easier to fit in your planner if you don’t have to worry about a background.
