Review
The Perfect Marriage is a great thriller that kept me turning the pages.
I have to admit that I generally try to stay away from any books with lawyers. And while, yes, I did find a couple of items that seemed unlikely to happen, it didn’t bother me as much as others. The Perfect Marriage was told from alternating points of view of Adam and Sarah. I appreciated that each moved the book forward, and it wasn’t just the same events being described from each of their points of view.
Adam was not a very likable character. While I’m not sure that you’re supposed to like him, but it maybe would have helped if he was a little more likable. I did like Sarah, and other than a few times, I thought, why the hell is with this guy, I respected her.
This is a mystery and, while I did figure it out before the end, I don’t think most people would. However, there were many twists and turns, and I found the ending very satisfying. If you’re looking for a fast-paced, not put downable mystery/thriller, then this one may be for you!
