Synopsis

If happiness is a gift.
Then Cameron Stanton is my Santa Claus.

I can’t tell you the exact moment I fell in love with him.
Only that I did.
With every glance, every touch, every minute…. he stole a little more of me.

They say that all men are created equal.
Well that’s a blatant lie!

I know because I met Gods gift to women in Vegas,
I pretended he was my husband to get rid of another man.

He took our fake marriage seriously and it became his personal goal to consummate.
He spoke to me in French and I lied to him in German.

His laughter was addictive.

But I thought what happens in Vegas would stay in Vegas.

Until it didn’t.
Dr. Stanton turned up where I least expected and my lies came back to haunt me.

The attraction is palpable.
The secrets unchangeable.
I need him more than air.

Review

Dr. Santon has one of my least favorite tropes – surprise baby.  Generally, I’m not too fond of this trope because the idea of a woman purposefully not telling the father that he has a child has always rubbed me the wrong way.  So I did appreciate that there was at least a decent reason in this book.

I loved the characters, and I especially loved how strong Ashley was.  Cameron was a true alpha male, and I liked that Ashely didn’t let him control her.  Though I did feel like there was some unnecessary drama in this book, I liked that these two characters challenged each other.  There were certainly times when both characters got on my nerves because both of them were stubborn AF, but overall I really liked Cameron and Ashley and their story.

I also liked that this book also discussed class and elitism, though I do wish that had been discussed more and had had more of a resolution.  But it was nice to see it being called out.  There was a lot of hypocrisy (mostly on Cameron’s side) called out, which I appreciated.

This was an enjoyable read that I thought many of the issues that this book addressed were handled well!
