Review

Truly was a book that is hard to rate. But despite one scene, I absolutely adored this book.

In Truly, there was a part early on that a lot of people, including myself, are likely uncomfortable with. However, I would argue it made sense for the story and the characters.  There were a lot of twists and turns in this story that kept the story interesting.  Some things I saw coming, some things I should have seen coming, and others that blew my mind a little.  While that was wonderful, it was the characters that made me love this book.

Truly, is a strong and independent heroine.  And despite his many flaws, I loved Noah.  He was such a complex character, and I loved seeing him grow.  The ending was wonderful, and getting to see Noah’s character arch was one of my favorite parts.  While the relationship between Noah and Truly is volatile, I loved seeing their interactions.  How they both made each other grow.

I really enjoyed this read and will certainly be reading more Carmel Rhodes books!
