February is Black History Month, and as everyone knows, the 14th is Valentine’s Day. So I thought, let’s combine to two and shout some of my favorite rom-coms by Black authors. While obviously there are some great romance books that aren’t rom-coms by Black authors, these five just happen to be some of my favorite overall romances.
Take A Hint Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert
I love Talia Hibbert’s Brown Sisters Series. Get A Life, Chloe Brown is wonderful, but Take a Hint, Dani Brown is my absolute favorite. I can’t wait for the last book in the series coming out next month.
The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa
I absolutely loved The Worst Best Man when I read it last year. It was a smart funny rom-com that I very much enjoyed.
Real Men Knit by Kwana Jackson
Real Men Knit is a rom-com with real heart. I loved the story of Jesse wanting to carry on his mother’s legacy. And, of course, I loved seeing him interact with Kerry.
Party of Two by Jasmine Guillory
Party of Two wasn’t my first Jasmine Guillory romance read, but it was by far my favorite. I loved both of these characters so much.
How the Fail at Flirting by Denise Williams
How to Fail at Flirting was such a pleasant surprise. I don’t know what I had thought but it wasn’t this delightful read.
