Tortured Hero
The Tortured Hero trope is a very popular trope, especially in romance. In this trope, the hero usually has some dark secrets in their pasts. They are usually dark and broody and at least part of the story centers around the hero’s secrets coming out and being faced.

Review
I have read the other two books in this series (Moonlight Sins and Moonlight Seduction) and I am shocked to say this one was my favorite. I pretty much hated Devlin in the other books so I was leery. That and I wasn’t really interested in Rosie based on the other books I am shocked this ended up being my favorite.
Rosie is a delight, she is funny and real and I really liked her. She also brings something out in Devlin that makes him seem much more human. Something that no else seems to be able to do. I enjoy their banter and loved every scene they had together. I seriously laughed out loud a few times. This is really more of a mystery and it was a great one. Each book in the series answers the overall mystery a little more, and in this one, we finally get all of the answers.
I listened to the audiobook. It was performed by Jill Redfield and Joe Arden. We all know Joe Arden is great. He does a great light southern drawl thing for Devlin. I was extremely impressed by Jill Redfield! What I am about to type could probably be described as blasphemous but I think Jill’s Devlin voice may have been sexier than Joe’s. Their narration added immensely to my enjoyment of the book, especially the bantering.
This was a great series and I highly recommend it!
