Tired of 2020? I know I am, so let’s look ahead to 2021. My list of 2021 Book Releases is finally live. This list to me a while to put together. And as of now, I have books listed for the months of January through April. I will of course be adding more, both to the current months as well as those that I don’t have books listed for. I thought I would take this time to explain a few things about the 2021 Book Releases List.
How are the books categorized?
The 2021 Book Release list is listed by month and then genres within those months. All books listed are fiction. The genres I have included this year are:
- Fantasy/Science Fiction
- Romance
- Mysteries and Thrillers
- Contemporary
- Historical
Now, a lot of books can fall into multiple categories. For example a Historical Romance or a Historical Mystery. Generally, ft it falls into on f the first three categories, that is where I’ve out it. Contemporary and Historical are for those books that don’t fit into the first three genres. As I haven’t read any of these books there is a chance that something in Contemporary is actually a romance, it isn’t an exact science.
How are the books are chosen?
This is my list so it is really just books that seemed interesting to me. There are some series continuations listed hear but most books are either the first in a series or standalones. There are a few books listed that I added simply because I know they are part of a popular series, and not because I was particularity excited about them. But for the most part, they are books I am planning to read in 2021.
Where do you find the books/information?
Most of the information comes from one of two places Edelweiss or Goodreads. I use Edelweiss to organize a lot of the books that I add to my lists. (If you’re interested in learning more about how I use Edelweiss, let me know). However, since Edelweiss, doesn’t have every book I supplement in books from Goodreads. Especially book by indie authors, though usually publications for those aren’t announced as early.
Do you have any other questions? Did you see any books you’re excited about on the 2021 Book Releases list? Are there any books you think I might have missed? Let me know in the comments.
