Marriage of Convenience
Marriage of Convenience is often found in historical romance, but not all of the time. Usually, it is a mutually beneficial agreement, with both parties profiting from the marriage.
As I mentioned usually you find this trope in historical fiction, but it is also in contemporary fiction and even YA. Below is a list of some of my favorite books with the marriage of convenience trope.
Devil in Winter
Devil in Winter is one of my favorite historical romance books. I love Evie and Sebastian and their story!
The Kiss Thief
If you like dark romance, then I recommend The Kiss Thief. It was my first LJ Shen book and still one of my favorites.
Serpent & Dove
If you are a YA lover then Serpent & Dove is a great book to check iut if you wan to read a Marriage of Convenience book. Reid and Lou and hilarous and the fantasy elements are wonderful!
The Bride Test
If you like rom-coms then I highly recommend The Bride Test! It was one of my favorite books of 2019, and the marriage of convenience was a nice element to this book.
