Virginia (Vee) Miller is joining interning on a battle of the bands reality show. Her best friend is one of the contestants, as is her ex-boyfriend. Vee must deal with her heartbreak all over again, and this time while cameras are rolling.
It didn’t live up to the hype for me.
I had heard from a lot of people what a great book this was. And don’t me get wrong I enjoyed it but it wasn’t a five star read for me. I loved Vee, but the rest of the cast sort of didn’t do it for me. Yes, even Cam. I don’t want to give too much away, but I feel like he was just to secretive and I never really trusted him. I think though Logan was my biggest issue. I can’t really tell you why, but I just did not like that guy!
The story was great and the way the story shifted from past to present kept things interesting. Cam is certainly mysterious and that added to the plot, but as I said made me not trust him.
I will certainly read more of Pennington’s books, this one just didn’t live up to the hype.
