I am back with some more romance recommendations by Black authors. This time I am listing some Black Authors who write dark and steamy reads. Not all of these are dark but they are all steamy! I have ordered them in what I consider least dark to darkest. This is obviously just my opinion, but a word of warning if you aren’t into bully romance, stay away from the last two.
Rebekah Weatherspoon
I haven’t posted my review for Rafe yet, but I liked it a lot. I believe I used the phrase “mom porn” in my review and I stand by that! This book was sweet and steamy and I would read more by Rebekah Weatherspoon.
Whitney G.
I have read several of Whitney G.’s books and she never fails to bring the steam. My favorite of her books is the Reasonable Doubt series. But I generally have enjoyed all of the books by her I’ve read.
Blue Saffire
Doctor Feel Good is the first book by Blue Saffire I’ve read but it will not be the last. This book had a possessive alpha male, with a bit of intrigue and a wonderfully smart heroine.
B.B. Reid
I just finished Fear Me and I am ready for the second book. It was my first B.B. Reid book and I plan to read many more! She can write a dark character that you still somehow root for!
Carmel Rhodes
Well holy moly did I enjoy reading Truly by Carmel Rhodes. Truly is pretty dark, and unfortunately it is the only Carmel Rhodes book so I don’t know if they are all like that. I plan to remedy the fact that Truly is the only book I’ve read by Carmel Rhodes very soon!
