8 Amazing Audiobook Narrators

It is no secret that I love audiobooks! If you haven’t read my post gushing about audible escape you should.  Though I will endeavor to keep this post romance free.

I have a long commute and sometimes I even listen to them while I’m working. One of the most important things about finding a good audiobook is the narrator.  I wanted to share some of my favorite narrators as well as some recommendations read by them.

Steve West

Steve West is one of my favorite narrators!  He has narrated several of my favorite books, and he also has a romance alter-ego (Shane East).  Oh, and did I mention he’s British.  One of my favorites of his is The Scorpio Races.

Jim Dale

Jim Dale, also British, is best known for reading the Harry Potter books, and well there is a reason for it.  He hasn’t read many other books, and I have to be honest I have only listened to Harry Potter, but it is amazing!

 Jennifer Ikeda

I love Jennifer Ikeda, she has a very soothing voice and is wonderful at accents and that is especially important.  I loved her Narration of the All Souls trilogy.

A Discovery of Witches

Emily Woo Zeller

I have listened to several books narrated by Emily Woo Zeller, and I’ve enjoyed them all.  She is a great narrator and I’ve very much enjoyed all the books I have listened to by her.

The Bird and the Blade

Bahni Turpin

Bahni Turpin is such a passionate narrator.  I really enjoy the books I have listened to by her.  She has a wonderful voice.

The Hate U Give

Johnathan McClain

Johnathan McClain is another one of my favorites!  He is wonderful in the Illumine files ( I plan to do a post on audiobooks with full casts soon) and he is just a pleasure to listen to.

These Broken Stars

MacLeod Andrews

MacLeod Andrews has narrated a ton of books!  I have enjoyed all the ones that I have listened to.

Steelheart

Emily Gray

I have listened to several books read by Emily Grey and she is very fun to listen to.  She reads the shopaholic series if that tells you anything.
