2023 Bookish Goals

I am a very goal-oriented person, so of course, I have made some 2023 bookish goals. I don’t quite know that I have 10 for Top Ten Tuesday, but here are some of my bookish goals. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

Read 275 Books

This year I set my Goodreads challenge goal at 275. It is a little lower than last year’s goal of 300, which I did reach, but near the end of the year, it was more about reading books to hit a goal rather than for enjoyment.

Read 50 Books I Own

I subscribe to about 100 book boxes. I want to read more of the books I get in those, mostly because if I decide that the book isn’t for me, then I can give it to someone who loves the book and will cherish a special edition. I also have well over 100 unlistened to books in my audible library. This year I want to read/listen to books I have.

Annotate 25 Books

Last year I annotated my first book. I enjoyed the process and thinking about it now, 25 is probably way too many. But I want to annotate the books that I love!

Keep up with my Book Bullet Journal

This year I started a physical book bullet journal. I am creative but not artistic, and I find I sometimes (a lot of the time) don’t stick with the journals I have started in the past, or I get too worried about perfectionism and get frustrated. This year I vow to finish what I’ve started, and I have to say I love it so far.

This goes with the above. How can I track everything if I am not rating everything? This year I a using Storygraph to rate all the books I’ve read as well as keep track of the format of books I’ve read. You can find me on Storygraph here if you want to be friends!

Rate each book I read
