2022 is almost upon us! I am also already excited about my 2022 reading. I love doing reading challenges because they often get me out of my comfort zone a bit and expose me to books I may not have normally picked up. Today I am sharing five 2022 reading challenges you might want to consider trying out. Not only are they great for reading new books, but they are also a great way to get some books off of that TBR backlog!
PopSugar 2022 Reading Challenge

The Popsugar reading challenge is an old standby that I’ve been doing for years! But, honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever actually finished one, and I won’t even dare say that this year will be the year I do. But this is a great one to check out if you are looking to expand your reading outside of your usual genres.
The 52 Book Club

Looking for a challenge with many generic prompts, then look no further than The 52 Book Club’s 2022 Reading Challenge. There are, you guessed it, 52 different prompts that you can apply to just about any genre you wish! I especially love the “Author has an X, Y, or Z in their name”
Romance Book Reading Challenge

She Reads romance is back with her Romance Book Reading challenge! What’s great about this one is that participants are encouraged to join her Facebook group and post the books they are reading each month, so this one not only has excellent prompts but an opportunity to connect with other romance readers!
Uncorked Reading Challenge

The Uncorked Librarian is back, and their challenge this year is just as diverse. If you are looking for books that will push you, you should check out this reading challenge. If you get stuck on a month’s theme, don’t worry. There are recommendations for each month!
My Romance Reading Challenge

So this year, I decided to create my own challenge. It is romance-themed, but with the exception of a few prompts, you could use it for other genres. I’ve tried to provide some recommendations on the post and will be adding more soon. And if you are looking for steamier recs, check out my After Dark blog-same prompts darker and steamier recs.
I will be posting more 2022 reading challenges on my Pinterest board, so make sure to give that a follow as well. Do you host a challenge, or have one you think I should check out? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for this quick and easy guide.
